Next month, Light Reading, in partnership with the Open Networking Foundation (ONF), will host the first BIG Telecom Event (BTE) taking place in Chicago June 17-18, 2014, and we’re excited to share that our CEO & Founder, Michael Kearns, will speak at the event.
On Tuesday, June 17, from 3:45 to 4:40, Michael will participate on a panel entitled “Carrier Ethernet & the Cloud.” As more businesses move mission-critical applications and data into the cloud, they are expecting the network services connecting them to that cloud to feature the same on-demand qualities, while retaining the reliability and availability for which Carrier Ethernet is known. This panel will look at how Carrier Ethernet services need to rapidly evolve to support flexible bandwidth models, and the changes telecom network operators must make to their service delivery processes.
Additional panel members include Mark Durrett, VP, Corporate Communications & Market Strategy for Overture Networks; Adam Saenger, Vice President of Portfolio Management for TW Telecom; Tom Savard, Vice President, Product & Technology Development for Transition Networks and Ricardo Torres, Director of Product Marketing for VeEX.
